Creeks at the Poor Farm

One of the creeks

There are three creeks at the Poor Farm, converging at the center of the property, and then flowing into the Threemile Branch across Tin Top Road.

They are intermittently flowing streams, carrying rainwater from the ridge. They are often only muddy creek beds, especially during the drought season.

Topographical map of the Poor FarmIn the map to the left, the blue lines forming a "Y" are the creeks. The third one is probably so small that it was not included on the map.

Years ago, the creeks were dammed up to create another pond. I think that may be the blue spot on the map. The purple spot is the pond that is there now.
