The Poor Farm Advisory Group

The Poor Farm Advisory Group was formed in the first part of 2005 by Jim Webster, Precinct 4 Commissioner. The group's purpose is for Parker County citizens to combine ideas and eventually develop a master plan for the development of the Poor Farm, to be presented to the Commissioners Court.

The group is made up of 13 teams, each working on a specific part of the master plan or the promotion of the poor farm's development. We currently have the following teams:

• Landscape Team
• Museum Team
• Nature Team
• Outdoor Learning Center Team
• Publicity Team
• Research Team
• Trails Team
• Woods & Water Team
